PAYMENT METHODS

  • All payments must be accompanied by the original bill.
  • Cheque and Money Order must be crossed out (non-negotiable) and made payable to Yang Dipertua Majlis Daerah Gua Musang, 18300 Gua Musang, Kelantan.
  • Only official receipts from the Office of Gua Musang District Council are deemed certified.
  • Receipts must be obtained once payments are made.

IMPORTANT REMINDER

  • City Tax Bills must be paid in advance during the first half of the year before 12 February and the second half of the year before 31 August annually. These bills will be sent to property owners to the address shown in our records in the early half of January and July for each half of the year. 
  • Notice of claims as required by Section 148 Local Government Act 1976 will be issued if payment is not settled in the first half of the year after 28 February and second half of the year after 31 August without any further warning with notice payments as such:-

NOTICE PAYMENT

The following rates will be imposed upon:

  • 1% warrant
  • Payment of warrants will be charged according to the rates specified on the outstanding amount fifteen (15) days after the issuance of claims notice Section 148.
  • A tenant can protect his own belongings by submitting this bill to the owner for immediate payment. Failure to pay the revenue will result in foreclosure of tenant's belongings.
  • A tenant can safeguard his/her own interests by paying rent to the Council until arrears are settled: Any rents paid by the tenant to the Council can be deducted from rental payments immediately after and henceforth to the holding owner. Section 151 (b).
  • It is compulsory for owners to notify the department on the ownership transfer for properties included within the Gua Musang District Council.
  • If you do not receive the original bill, please visit the Office to obtain a copy of the bill before the above period.
